There is something that happens when you stand in front of a blank canvas with someone who genuinely believes you are creative. The story you have told yourself for years, the one that says you are not an artist, that making things is for other people, starts to loosen. And before long, you find yourself creating from a place you forgot you had access to. You begin to hear your own creative voice a little more clearly.

Create Together is an immersive painting experience I am offering to a small number of clients this year. We work side by side in your home, with your walls, your colors, your light, and your story as our starting point, creating a painting that could only have come from your life.

This experience isn't centered on instruction as much as participation. We paint together. I share what I've learned over years of making art, answer questions as they arise, and offer guidance when it's helpful, but there is no pressure to get it right or keep up.

Creative blocks almost always make an appearance.

So do self-doubt and the urge to make something "good."

Perhaps our ‘perfectionist’ tendencies arrive for us to witness.

When they surface, we have ways of working with them through simple practices that invite you back into curiosity, play, and trust, where creativity has room to breathe again.

Yes, we’re painting, we’re creating, but more than that, we’re cultivating a presence. A muscle which we can call upon through all moments of our lives, to bring a quality of childlike wonder which so often we forget about as we ‘grow up’ and become ‘adults.’

The idea for Create Together emerged from working with one client over time. We began with normal art lessons, but eventually found ourselves standing shoulder to shoulder in her home, creating large paintings for the spaces she loved most.

As each piece found its place on the wall, I watched something else take shape too: her confidence, her creative voice, and her willingness to trust her own instincts.

Seeing that transformation was every bit as meaningful as the finished paintings.

Probably more so.

It made me realize this experience was something I wanted to offer others.

What the experience looks like

We begin where the painting will eventually live. I come to your home because every space has its own rhythm, its own light, its own quiet language. We spend time noticing it together. We talk about what moves you, what you love, what feels unfinished, and what kind of beauty you want to invite into your everyday life.

Then we begin.

Over a few spacious sessions, we paint together. Not rushing toward a finished piece, but allowing it to unfold one layer at a time. There is room for questions, experimentation, laughter, and the beautiful surprises that only appear when we stop trying to control every brushstroke.

When it's finished, we place it in your space.

The work we’ve done together is much more than something beautiful on the wall.

It serves as a potent reminder that you were willing to make something that didn't exist before, that your hands had something to do with bringing it here, and above all, you made the decision to go through a real creative process.

Who this is for

You've collected art, or you've wanted to. You have made a home that reflects who you are, and there are walls that still feel like they are waiting for their story. You have imagined making art yourself, then quietly talked yourself out of it, and some small part of you still wonders what might have happened if you hadn't.

You know that the most meaningful things in our homes aren't always the most expensive. They're the ones that carry a story. This experience is about remembering how it came to be: the conversations, the moments of surprise, the color on your hands, and the realization that you helped create something that will become part of your home, and part of your story.

A few details

Create Together is currently available throughout the Denver metro area, though I am happy to travel if it feels like the right fit for both of us. Each experience is thoughtfully designed around your home, your story, and the painting we're creating together.

Because every project is unique, pricing is determined individually during our first conversation.

I take on only a small number of Create Together collaborations each year, because the best work happens when there is enough space for something meaningful to unfold.

Ready to talk about it?

If there is a part of you that has always wanted to create, I invite you to reach out.

We’ll begin with a conversation, listen for what feels possible, and discover together whether this is the right path for bringing your vision to life…
